Joseph Hillesheim Quoted in HRMagazine Conversion Article “Moving to a New HRIS”

Joseph Hillesheim, managing partner of Aspire HR, was quoted in the June 2007 issue of HRMagazine article written by Jennifer Taylor Arnold. In the article titled “Moving to a New HRIS”, Ms. Arnold detailed the problems and best practices associated with implementing a new Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Mr. Hillesheim was brought into the article to discuss the difficulty and importance of preserving and converting all historic data when implanting a new HRIS system.

“I was glad to be called in as a non-biased contributor to the article,” said Mr. Hillesheim, “because conversions are the most underestimated element of any HRIS implementation. The level of effort in data migration is much greater than many clients expect it to be so many implementation partners will push data migrations onto the client’s scope during implementations. Unfortunately, once the full effort of conversions is understood, often times the client is forced to implement the new system without history data.”
