The course will review the required master data, the correct way to change employee master data and the impact it has on Payroll. Each step of the payroll process, from start through posting to the general ledger, will be discussed. Information will be included on what occurs in the system as each step is executed, why the execution order is important, and tips on how to prevent issues during the payroll cycle. Retroactive processing will be covered in detail, including how to recognize retroactive changes and read payroll clusters. Additional material will include off-cycle processing, the purpose of process models, and standard-delivered Payroll reports. HR309 Fundamentals of Payroll is designed to provide Payroll and Human Resource professionals that support SAP HCM with the tools to understand how the system works and the impacts to SAP Payroll from the integration of other modules. This is not a configuration class and no configuration experience is required.

• Organization of payroll procedures
• Retroactive accounting
• Payroll reporting
• Data transfer to Finance and controlling
• Bank transfer processing
