Project Team Training
This just-in-time, end-user training is delivered shortly before “go live” of your implementation or upgrade to provide users with the knowledge they need to fully utilize their new or upgraded SAP system. Post go live training support can also be provided as needed.

Our training team employs a three phased approach to the design, development, and delivery of end-user training. The three phases are described below in the interactive End-User Training Delivery Roadmap.

The End-User Training Delivery Roadmap

  • Determine scope of training including transactions, business processes, and employees to be trained
  • Develop training plan and timeline and obtain signoff
  • Create courseware outlines and obtain signoff from business process owners
  • Define training system data requirements
  • Set up sandbox system data for course development
  • Develop post go-live training strategy
  • Develop training courseware for initial review
  • Setup training system environment
  • Finalize classroom training schedule and obtain signoff
  • Review/test training materials and obtain final signoff from business process owners
  • Deliver TTT for facilitators/SMEs, and instructors
  • Complete final classroom preparation and setup

  • Deliver classroom training
  • Assess effectiveness of training and make updates to the training materials based on student/instructor feedback
  • Finalize post go-live training strategy
  • Conduct knowledge transfer with internal training team and obtain signoff
  • Deliver post go-live training (as needed)

1. Assessment/Design:

In this first phase, the AspireHR training team works closely with project team members to determine the exact scope of the training to be delivered, including the business processes and transaction codes to be covered in the training, and who will be attending the training.

Also during this phase, the AspireHR training team will develop a detailed training plan and timeline which will include a preliminary schedule for classroom training. Additionally, course outlines will be developed and signed off by the business process owners.

As part of this phase, the training team will develop the training system data requirements and will create the sandbox training data that will be used in the second phase to develop training materials.

The final deliverable of this initial phase will be the development of a post go-live training strategy. This strategy will address how the client will deliver training to new employees, and deliver refresher training for existing employees after the go live is completed.

2. Development/Testing:

In this phase, the AspireHR training team works with the client training development team in building the end user training materials which will include one or more of the following components:
  • Quick reference cards (QRCs)/Job Aids
  • Simulations/tutorials
  • PowerPoint presentations
  • E-Learning courses
  • On-line context sensitive help
Training materials will be developed and all courseware will reside in the client’s training database for ongoing, post go-live use and maintenance. During this phase, the training team will finalize the setup of the training system environment and will complete any final classroom preparation required. Final review, testing, and signoff of the training materials also occur during this crucial phase.

One of the most important deliverables realized during this phase is the Train-The-Trainer session (TTT) that is held approximately four to five weeks prior to go-live. During the TTT, instructors, facilitators and subject matter experts (SMEs) will receive hands-on instruction relating to how to deliver and support the upcoming classroom training.

3. Deployment/Support:

in this final phase, the AspireHR training team will deliver end-user classroom training to users of the new HR system during the final weeks prior to go-live.

Hands-on classroom training will be delivered at the client’s training facilities and will be conducted by the client and AspireHR instructors with assistance from facilitators and SMEs.

Planning would ideally ensure that one instructor, and at least one facilitator/SME is present per classroom session. The role of the facilitator/SME would be to support the instructor, assist students with exercises, and to answer business process related questions.

End-users will also be required to complete any e-Learning courses during this phase. Some of these e-Learning courses may be prerequisites for classroom courses the students will be required to take.

During this last phase, the training team will assess the effectiveness of the end-user training by reviewing feedback received from the instructors and student course evaluation forms and will make updates to the training materials based on this feedback.

After the go-live is complete, the training team will finalize the post go-live training strategy and perform any make-up training that will be needed along with deployment of the post go-live training strategy.

The AspireHR training team will also deliver any required knowledge transfers to the client training team so that they can support ongoing end-user training.
