Co-founder and Executive Chairman
Melissa Hillesheim, Co-Founder, Executive Chairman, and General Counsel, is committed to expanding the company’s presence nationally, focused on supporting AspireHR’s strategic growth objectives on the path to becoming the North American market leader in Human Experience Management solution delivery.
With 18+ years of extensive corporate legal and business experience, Melissa has advised and guided business executives on key legal and business matters in the areas of human resources, corporate compliance, intellectual property, software development, marketing strategies, mergers and acquisitions, and consulting, technology and software services. She has a proven track record of forging successful working relationships with boards of directors, corporate officers and executive leadership teams.
In addition to co-founding AspireHR, Melissa previously served as General Counsel for Trinity Industries for 6 years then founded Brown Hillesheim Legal, P.C., where she served as Managing Principal for over 8 years and specialized in software / professional services agreements.
Melissa holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Texas at Austin and received her Juris Doctorate from Baylor University School of Law.
CEO and President
Kevin Chase, CEO and President of AspireHR, is responsible for leading the organization in its day-to-day operations as well as ensuring AspireHR is on track to achieve its long-term strategic vision to be the market leader in HXM (Human Experience Management) solution delivery across all industries in North America.
Prior to joining AspireHR, Kevin gained a diverse range of professional experiences as an award-winning CIO, business executive, entrepreneur, and management consultant. He built his reputation in the tech industry as a transformational leader, achieving measurable gains in performance across a range of companies from tech start-ups to Fortune 250 global corporations. Most recently, Kevin served as SVP, CIO, and Chief Digital Officer at Sempra Energy. Prior to that, he was SVP & CIO for eight years at EFH, Luminant, and TXU Energy. Earlier in his career, Kevin co-founded a successful management consulting and systems integration firm, Fortegra, that he and his partners later sold to Black & Veatch, where it became the cornerstone of B&V’s technology consulting division. Kevin began his career at Accenture, implementing customer focused technology and business solutions for Fortune 500 companies across North America.
Kevin received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin where he graduated with Honors (cum laude) in Marketing. Later in Kevin’s career, he pursued management and leadership excellence as he achieved advanced management / leadership certifications from The Wharton School at Penn and Harvard Business School.
Kurt Zuch, Board Member for AspireHR, also serves on the Board of Directors for Utegration, another high growth systems integration firm who partners with SAP. Mr. Zuch has over 30 years of technology industry and entrepreneurial experience with a strong track record for helping companies achieve rapid and sustained growth.
Kurt began his career with Accenture in their technology and management consulting practice. He founded Pathways Consulting in late 1994, which was sold to Computer Management Sciences in 1996 after experiencing significant growth in a short timeframe. Mr. Zuch joined Excelergy Corporation in 1999 as VP of Professional Services and head of the Atlanta office before serving as SVP of Operations at Novient for a number of years.
Kurt founded his second technology and management consulting firm, Capstone Consulting Partners, which he led as Managing Partner for 2 years. Similar to his first start-up, Kurt enjoyed tremendous growth and Capstone was acquired by Alliance Data in late 2004. He served ADS as SVP of Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions post-acquisition.
In 2008, Mr. Zuch founded his third management consulting firm, Five Point Partners, increasing the firm’s breadth from his past 2 startups to include technology and management consulting as well as strategic advisory services, elevating the firm’s value proposition. Kurt led Five Point as Chief Executive Officer until the business was sold to Ernst & Young in 2014. Kurt was a North American Partner with EY for three years before leaving to found Trinity Private Holdings, an investment company focused on technology, strategic advisory and consulting services as well as different real-estate ventures. Kurt has a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Virginia Tech.
VP – Product Development
Brian Collett is responsible for the company’s Research & Development department and is accountable for developing / expanding AspireHR’s suite of software solutions. Brian pursues AspireHR’s vision for creating a radically simpler, more effective and efficient SAP HXM eco-system.
Brian has been in the HRIS technology industry since 1993 and, specifically, the SAP HCM industry since 1996. His previous roles include Payroll Localization Manager at SAP Southeast Asia (Singapore) where he was responsible for the creation of SAP AG’s Hong Kong HR/Payroll solution. Brian has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Systems with Honors from Monash University.
VP – Alliances
Winnie Chu is responsible for business development in the public sector and growing strategic alliances across AspireHR. She has an impressive track record of managing and leading many successful SAP HCM and SuccessFactors projects across a variety of industries, including public sector, healthcare, and retail sector.
Winnie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from York University’s Schulich School of Business in Toronto, with a double major in Human Resources and Marketing. Spending over six years as the Director of HR for a Federal Canadian security firm, Winnie gained the experience and the insight to bridge the gap between HR processes and SAP technology. She has been implementing SAP HCM since 1997 and received her Platinum Consultant designation from SAP America in March 2001.
As a highly recognized SAP and SuccessFactors expert in the industry, Winnie has been a speaker at various conferences in the United States, as well as globally in Amsterdam, Milan, Barcelona, and Singapore.
Joe Hillesheim, Founding Partner, started in the HR business in 1994 and was a seasoned veteran in the SAP Human Capital Management industry. Joe set the original vision and strategy for AspireHR and provided extensive, unparalleled experience in building high-achieving teams and guiding implementations for top-tier companies.
As an accomplished project manager and business process strategist, Joe’s vision and expertise drove AspireHR to invent streamlined approaches to historically inefficient and costly implementation cycles and processes. He was called to speak at top industry conferences and his achievements were featured in the Dallas Business Journal, the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Program, and the INC 500, where he was recognized as a top executive.
Joe received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the St. Louis University, becoming a CPA. He was an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and a board member of the Boys and Girls Club of America.
