Over the course of twenty years the IT environment at Intervoice became complex with numerous systems including PeopleSoft™ and Oracle™. There were many challenges and opportunities posed by the need for a new HR system. As a technology leader, Intervoice understood the need for constant innovation in order to maintain a competitive edge. This kind of competitive edge is dependent upon attracting and retaining the best people. Intervoice wanted to be able to have the resources to recruit, manage, develop and retain high quality employees. They saw the need to provide an attractive, easy to use Web portal to meet recruitment and HR needs and replace their legacy system. And, they wanted a system that would support compliance with the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) regulations.

Intervoice elected to do a global SAP HR implementation enabling them to utilize the latest technology for E-Recruitment and talent development and to align the company's HR functions with Intervoice's long term business strategy. Intervoice saw that there would be many benefits. Users would be able to access HR functionality through an easy to use Web portal. Managers would have a superior recruitment system and full access to 100% of the historical, legacy personnel-related data.
